On the sunny but frigid cold day, four quarterfinal games were played early in the morning with Mars Hill, Presque Isle, Madawaska and Caribou all advancing to play in the semifinals.
Caribou and Madawaska were seeded to play each other while Presque Isle and Mars Hill matched up to see who would advance to the championship game. In the Caribou-Madawaska matchup, Caribou came out on top with a four-goal lead to advance and play Presque Isle on the turf.
In the title game, Presque Isle started out strong with the ball on its offensive side for the first few minutes of the game. Caribou settled down though and got caught up with how different the turf played and adjusted to it.
Scoring a “hat trick” for the Caribou squad was Alex Bouchard, who scored twice in the first half and added an insurance goal in the second half to seal the game for the Vikes, who earned a 3-1 victory.
