PRESQUE ISLE — A “Stew Night” benefiting the Aroostook Teen Leadership Camp program will be held Friday evening, Feb. 22, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Presque Isle Snowmobile Clubhouse.
Attendees will receive a 20-ounce bowl of chicken stew, autumn soup or mild chili, along with a roll, drink and dessert for $6. A grilled cheese sandwich may also be purchased for an additional dollar.
The Aroostook Teen Leadership program is a leadership development and drug prevention program of Aroostook Mental Health Services Inc., and has been serving Aroostook County teens in grades six through eight since 1987. Teens can attend a five-day residential summer camp program held at Limestone Community School and the Maine School of Science and Mathematics to learn leadership skills, and then have the opportunity to develop these skills by participating in follow-up activities during the school year.
Registration forms for this summer’s camp, which will be held from August 4 through August 8, will be available in schools in mid-March.
