Six eighth-grade students graduated from the Dawn F. Barnes Elementary School in Caswell on June 6. They were, from left, Delaney Rossignol, Morganne Emery, Bethany Millette, Justin Small, Benjamin Parent and Travis Hatfield. Their teacher Alexis Gereben took a moment during her address to highlight the positive qualities embodied in each student. She told Morganne that her quiet nature and caring personality would take her far and Travis that his comical personality and care free spirit were great qualities to have. Telling Bethany that she was a smart, kind and ambitious girl, she urged her to not sell herself short. Gereben told Benjamin that he was a very responsible and mature young man, and told Delaney that she was an intelligent and determined girl. She also told Justin that he should be very proud of himself for the tremendous growth he’s shown over the past year, and that he has a strong, respectful character.
