Consumer beware! As medical costs escalate, we all must take responsibility to control them. I, myself, am guilty of not being better informed.
I recently received physical therapy at the local hospital. Unfortunately, I forgot to inquire about the cost involved. After receipt of the bill for the first month of service, I found out it cost $100 for each 15 minutes of therapy. I was shocked to see that a one hour session of physical therapy was $400!
After doing some research, I can share with my neighbors that the cost for medical services can vary widely from provider to provider in the same locale. My best advice is to comparison shop.
