Members of the Caribou High School Class of 1944 gathered on Aug. 15 to celebrate their 69th class reunion with a luncheon and program at the Par & Grill Restaurant in Caribou. Elizabeth Beaulieu, chairman of the event, welcomed the group, recognizing reunion committee members Beryl Hale, Thelma Morin and Florence Gallagher. A memorial service was directed by Gallagher at the conclusion of the afternoon and the CHS 1944 classmates agreed to meet again in August 2014. The 10 classmates who made it to the reunion are, seated, from left, Skip Bennett, Phil LeVasseur, Sterling Tibbetts, John Sodergren and Bob Brown; standing, Thelma Morin, Beryl Hale, Florence Gallagher, Elizabeth Beaulieu and Vivian Merritt. Those who were unable to attend but sent their regards were Carolyn Peterson Johnson, Evelyn Anderson Chisham, Richard Ouellette, Vernon Wark and Leatrice Chaloult Vercelli.
