OHIO and LIMESTONE, ME – Ralph Waldo Mitchell, 84, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2013, at Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro, OH. He was born on January 31, 1929, in Ollie, Iowa, the son of the late Lloyd and Addie (Cavin) Mitchell.
He was a veteran and retired Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force and had served during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by four children, David Scott Mitchell and his wife, Lougenia of Las Cruces, NM, Mitch Mitchell and his wife, Cindy of NY, Wayne Mitchell and his wife, Holly of Hillsboro, OH, and Lori Goldsmith and her husband, Eric of Winchester, OH; daughter-in-law, Janice Mitchell of Bangor; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Lowe and Barbara Mitchell, both of Iowa; a brother, Gilbert Mitchell of Iowa; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Mary Gaetane (Johndro) Mitchell on October 24, 2007; a son, Robert Dana Mitchell; and an infant son, Michael Mitchell.
