WASHBURN and FRESNO, CALIFORNIA – Robert W. Doody passed away at his home in Fresno, Calif. after a courageous battle with lung cancer on August 14, 2013.
His two surviving brothers, Richard and George Doody are thankful to have spent nearly a week with him before his passing.
Bob was born in Presque Isle, Maine and grew up on the family farm on the Coffin Road in Washburn. He graduated from Washburn High School. He owned NAPA Auto Supply, and also worked for the New England Telephone Company before moving to Fresno where he continued working for a telephone company. In Fresno, he started a successful Laser Printer Repair Service.
Bob will be missed by his wife, Brenda (Hardgrove) Doody, sons, Jeffrey, Rick, and Timothy, step-daughter, Stacey, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Bob was predeceased by his mother and father, Emma (Sparks) Doody and Warren Doody, by his brother, Turney Doody, and by his grandson, Robbie Doody in Fresno; also by his grandparents, John Allen Doody and Maria (Hamilton) Doody.
