PRESQUE ISLE – The Irish Setter Pub, located on 710 Main Street in Presque Isle, has undergone a few changes to better serve its guests.
The outdoor dining area, with eight tables and 24 chairs, continues to be popular with guests. We continue to offer wireless internet for our guests.

The Irish Setter Pub now offers a weekly special entrée and sandwich that have been very well accepted.  A cheddar port burger and a Guinness glaze burger have been added to our mix.  Our Burger of the Month continues to be in demand. We’ve added Maine brewed bottled and draft beers to meet our guests’ requests.  There are now 12 beers on tap.
The Irish Setter Pub has been open for 7-1/2 years – the last 5-1/2 under the ownership of Deborah Gustin. Offered is a relaxing atmosphere with a menu offering a variety of foods, from light snacks to full meals, plus a variety of refreshments sure to appeal to everyone’s tastes.
Gustin said she feels the secret to staying in business in this region is “offering consistency in food and service and creating an enjoyable atmosphere for a great experience.”
She added that customer service is the top priority at the Irish Setter Pub. “Good products and good service bring our guests back and they often recommend us to others,” she said. She is proud of her recent accomplishment in the 2012 Bangor Metro magazine, where survey respondents chose the Irish Setter Pub as the home of the best burger in Aroostook County. The survey also named the Irish Setter Pub the best bar in Aroostook County in 2012 and 2013.
With five full-time and 20 part-time employees, the Irish Setter Pub is open Monday through Wednesday from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. It is closed on Sundays.
The phone number is 764-5400, the web address is www.irishsetterpub.com and the e-mail address is info@irishsetterpub.com.
“The Irish Setter Pub has a good formula for success – happy guests,” said Gustin. “We invite you to try us – we think you’ll like us.”
