To the editor:
I have had the privilege of being involved with Loring Job Corps ever since the beginning.
The Loring Center has now become one of the most successful Job Corps in the nation. Over the years I have been so moved by the incredible stories of the Job Corps students and how they have gone from such struggles in life to some of the greatest success stories you could imagine. Not everyone has such a story but enough do that it makes the Job Corps program a very valuable institution.
Today Loring Job Corps is hosting “Open Enrollment.” This is a great opportunity for young people who just have not been able to fit with our traditional educational system to experience a different approach. There are some eligibility requirements but if you are a young person between 16 and 22 and you are determined to get on the right track and you’re willing to work hard for your dreams, Job Corps could be just the ticket.
The Job Corps experience is not for everyone but it offers remarkable support, diversity, empowerment, and a chance to change your life for the better. If you are a parent or you know some young person who just keeps struggling to fit a round peg into a square hole, encourage them to give Job Corps a look. The people there are dedicated and they have only one thing in mind, “student success.”
The vocations taught at Job Corps represent some of the hottest job opportunities on the market. Once you complete your training the program works with you and has incredibly high job placement. While you are in training there are many benefits, including stipends, healthcare, food, uniforms, housing, counseling, volunteer opportunities, school to work internships, and some of the best vocational training you could find.
Even if things haven’t gone so well up to now, Job Corps could be your ticket to a new life and if you work hard, focus on learning, and believe in yourself, the sky is the limit. Open Enrollment is a great time to check out Job Corps. If you are looking for a change and you are ready to get serious about your future call Loring Job Corps now. What have you got to lose? Your opportunity is waiting.
