Easton recognizes athlete Sean Daniels for being voted BDN sports story of the year
Easton Jr/Sr High School held its Annual Athletic Awards Night on Monday, April 27, 2009 in the Easton Elementary School Cafeteria. The evening began with everyone in attendance enjoying a brownie-a-la-mode. Varsity Club Advisor, Ellen Trask and Athletic Director, Steve Shaw served as Mistress/Master of Ceremonies for the event.
Coach Jessica Miller presented certificates to the following junior high girls soccer players: Blake Bradley, Bailee Getchell, Emma Bonner, Kylee Carter, Nichole Dudley, Madison Leach, Kelsey Frank, Taylor Brown, Hannah Ferris, Alexandra Allen, Kristen West, Kerrigan Arnett, Stephanie Hammond, Carla Halvorson, Kennedy Young and managers Katelyn Tompkins and Haley Ambrose.
Coach Rachel Tomlinson presented certificates to the following junior high girls basketball team: Halvorson, Ambrose, Hammond, Allen, Arnett, Brown, Carter, Ferris, Frank, Ashley Hersey, Leach, Caitlin Monroe, Toria Tarbox and Abigail Thompson.
Coach Travis Carter presented certificates to the following junior high boys soccer players: Drew Sotomayor, Trevor Hathaway, Logan Halvorson, Nicholas Clark, Connor Burtt, Riley Mazerolle, Cody Halvorson, Ian Sotomayor, Hunter Turner, Zakery Cilley, Jared Hafford, Carl Mullen and Tyler Gadaire.
Coach Keith Richardson presented certificates to the following junior high boys basketball players: Justin Guerrette, Harvey Brown, C. Halvorson, I. Sotomayor, Mazerolle, Hafford, Cameron Young, Turner, Mullen, Logan Dickinson, Clark, Burtt, Derek Mendoza, Colby Pangburn and manager Cilley.
Varsity cheerleading coach Hillary Trainer presented bars to the following cheerleaders: Lisa Dayringer, Ariana Myshrall, Katrina Martin and Megan Bradley. A pin was presented to Brittany Tompkins. Meghan Frank received a letter.
Coach Rachel Tomlinson presented bars to the following varsity girls soccer players: Kilynne Beaulieu, K. Martin, Jessica Monson and Taylor Burtt. Pins were presented to Sydney Trask, Brooke Lunney and Brooke Hammond. Letters were given to Kacie Getchell, Ashley Nickerson, Abigail Poole, Ariana Babineau, Frank, Danielle Dudley and Sarah Plourde. Mikaela Hathaway, Amanda Dayringer, Samantha Fuller and L. Dayringer all received certificates. Managers Brittanee Blodget and Tompkins both received a manager pin.
Coach Dennis Anderson presented the girls varsity basketball awards. A bar was presented to T. Burtt. Nickerson, Katie Cyr, Lunney, Hammond and S. Trask received pins. Letters were presented to Monson, Marissa Parlin, Plourde and Poole. Certificates were presented to Samantha Fuller and Babineau. Blodget received a manager’s pin and Jolene Guerrette and Jessica Lawrence received letters.
Coach Dennis Anderson presented certificates to the girls junior varsity basketball team. Those members include: Cyr, Fuller, Hammond, Lunney, Parlin, S. Trask, Babineau, Dudley, Hathaway, Plourde and Poole. The following managers also received certificates: Blodget, Guerrette and Lawrence.
Coach Evan Graves presented certificates to the following girls’ volleyball players: K. Martin, T. Burtt, Anna Sherwood, L. Dayringer, Lunney, Hammond, Cyr, Parlin, S. Trask, Babineau and Poole.
Coach Brent Mosher presented certificates to the following boys’ volleyball players: Bradley Trask, Samuel Bacon, Zackari Bourgeois, Timothy Langlais, Luke Budreau, Caleb Bomar, Corey White, Zachary Clark, Jacob Bacon, Reid Clark, Jonah Bacon, Holden Turner, Cody Tompkins and Sean Daniels.
Coach Greg Miller presented awards to the varsity boys soccer team. Bars were presented to: White, Luke Fuller, Charles Beaton, S. Bacon, B. Trask, Anthony Brown and Daniels. Jacob Bacon received a pin. Letters were presented to Jonah Bacon, Turner, Tompkins, Clark and Budreau. Certificates were presented to Garrett Gray, Devyn Gray, Z. Clark, Christopher Flewelling and Bomar. Managers Myshrall and M. Bradley both received manager’s pins.
Coach Travis Carter presented the following boys varsity basketball awards: Bars were presented to B. Trask, Daniels, Beaton, S. Bacon, White and Fuller. R. Clark and Langlais received letters. Certificates were presented to Turner, Jonah Bacon, Tompkins, Jacob Bacon, Budreau and Michael Petrin. Manager K. Martin was presented with a letter.
Coach Travis Carter presented certificates to the following junior varsity boys basketball players: Garrett Gray, Flewelling, D. Gray, Z. Clark, Turner, Jonah Bacon, R. Clark, Tompkins, Jacob Bacon, Budreau and Petrin. B. Trask and S. Bacon received special recognition on their selection to the All-Aroostook Basketball Team. B. Trask, White and Babineau also received special recognition for their selection to the All-Aroostook Soccer Team. B. Trask was presented with a 1000 points banner & plaque that now display his name for scoring 1000 points throughout his high school basketball career. He was also presented with ‘The Butch Shaw’ award in soccer. The Varsity Club presented a plaque to Daniels recognizing that he was voted the Bangor Daily News 2008 Sports Story of the Year.
