  CARIBOU – Carlton A. McGlinn, son of the late John and Laura (Corey) McGlinn, died at Cary Medical Center in Caribou on November 7, 2013, at the age of 73 after a long illness. He was born on March 19, 1940, in Washburn and educated in Presque Isle schools, graduating from Presque Isle High School.
    He served in the U.S. Army from 1962-1965. Carl worked in Worcester, MA for several years. He was a member of the American Legion of Caribou.
    He is survived by two sons, Brent McGlinn of Portland, ME, and Mark Totman and wife, Maryna, and their five children of Charlton, MA; two daughters, Tammie and husband, John Hawie, of Baton Rouge, LA, and their three children, and Terrie and husband, Vincent Sasso, and their three children of Boylston, MA. He is also survived by brother Dale and Martha McGlinn of Caribou; sisters, Evelyn Rutherford of Van Buren, Norma and Chuck O’Reilly of South Portland, ME; Joan and Sidney Carrier of Charleston, SC; sister-in law Amy McGlinn, Presque Isle; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Geneva Flannery; brothers, Edward McGlinn, Jim McGlinn, and Philip McGlinn; brother-in-law, Sterling Rutherford; and nephews, James McGlinn and Michael O’Reilly.
    At Carl’s request, there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be said at Caribou Veterans Cemetery on November 15, 2013, at 3 p.m.
