CARIBOU – George R. Massie, 75, died unexpectedly November 6, 2013, at his Caribou residence. He was born in Stockholm February 24, 1938, the son of the late Albert and Agnes (Bernaiche) Massie.
Mr. Massie was a member of the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church, and for many years, was employed as a car salesman for several area auto dealerships.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Leola Ouellette of Caribou; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Heather Massie of Severn, MD; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Dee and Jack Gregory of Sunderland, MD, Catherine and Kenneth Nasatka of Huntington, MD, Stephanie and Shawn Diniz of Gambrills, MD, and Michelle Flannery of Caribou; three brothers, Everett Massey and wife, Delcia of Torrington, CT, Jerry Masse and wife, Sandra, of Tampa, FL, and Paul Massie and wife, Gail, of Jackson, NJ; one sister, Germaine Feltner and husband, Frank, of Santa Clara, UT; a sister-in-law, Delores Massie of Caribou; thirteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Massie was predeceased by two brothers, William and Philip Massie, and a sister, Jeanette Lachance.
