 Aubrey E. “Sonny” Estes, 71 years, died unexpectedly on Sunday,  October 20, 2013, at a Bradenton, Florida hospital.
    He was born June 29, 1942, in Caribou to Aubrey W. Estes and Augusta G. Shepard. He graduated Caribou High School in 1960, moved to New Jersey and attended IBM Business School and several years later married Gretchen A. Gamblin, of Woodland. They moved from Caribou to Tampa, FL shortly after their marriage.
    He was a life-long employee of ABC Fine Wines & Spirits in Tampa, Fl for 42 years and traveled world-wide while in their employ. He started as a clerk and retired as a Vice President. After retirement he spent his time playing golf and traveling.
    He was an Army veteran and an active member of VFW Post #2488 in Palmetto, having served as President and Treasurer. He was also active with the American Legion Post #309 and the Showman’s Club.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Aubrey Jr. and sisters Mrs. William (Lois) Burnett and Mrs Lendall (Roberta) Hersey.
    He is Survived by his two daughters, Lisa Vanvaerenbergh and Laura “Lori” Estes; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; his brother William F. Estes (Donna), Austin TX; and nephew Troy Estes (Cheryl), San Antonio TX; nieces Cavelle Hersey Kanizai, Cedar Creek TX, and Dawna Burnett, San Antonio TX, and Deanna Burnett, Mariso (Joe) of Fountain CO and numerous great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his friend Margie Laramore and his beloved little dog “Toby”.
    He was buried with full military honors on  October 24 at the Florida Nat’l Cemetery, Bushnell FL.
