Fifteen talented youths will take the CPAC stage on Friday, Nov. 22. They are, from left, front row: Brandon Hosford, Heaven Melanson, Emma Jandreau, Julia Harris and Emerald Mutty. Second row: Rebecca King and Simone Michaud. Back row: Lucas Kinney, Garrison Doddy, Kelsey Kiehn, Elyse Kiehn, Lucas Lagasse, Kerrigan Manter, Molly Adams, Cory Belanger, Ashley Cody, Evan Nadeau, teacher Andrew Kirby and Camearn Hill. Breann Clayton, also participating in the Talent Show, was unavailable for the photo.
Not only do students have different talents and abilities, some students have different school districts, as both Presque Isle and Easton students will be participating in the first time “So You Think You Got Talent” show.
“We wanted to make it a community event,” said Patricia Sterris, an ed tech at the Caribou High School and adviser to the Class of 2017. “It’s important that these talents get recognized, and we need the public’s help to do it.”
Fifteen talented acts will entertain the audience — a large audience, Sterris hopes. She wants the community to turn out in full to support this family-friendly event, and “We want the community to ‘clap, cheer, whistle and clap louder,’” Sterris added.
Every audience member counts in this talent show, as the winner will be determined by the amount of $1 votes generated by contestants. From singers to musicians, it’s an evening of talented performers for the family to enjoy.
Tickets are available at the Caribou High School main office for $5, and the price will increase to $7 at the door the night of the event.
