CARIBOU – Linda Mae “Nunnie” Theriault, 67, died November 27, 2013, at Presque Isle after a long courageous battle with COPD with her family by her side. She was born in Caribou on July 15, 1946, the daughter of the late Charles and Cora (Maxwell) Pangburn.
Linda was a 1964 graduate of Caribou High School and attended Bernard’s Hairdressing School, and later found the love of nursing and was employed at Caribou Nursing Home for many years. She married Harold R. Theriault and he predeceased her in 2001. Linda and Harold raised many of the neighborhood children who called her “Nunnie”.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Betancourth and her son, James Theriault and fiancée, Maryse Michaud; her brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Marsha Pangburn of Sanford, FL; a sister, Joyce Ellis of Atlanta, GA; seven grand-children, Chelsea Theriault, Andre Mallet, Ryley “Miss Ry” Mallett, Bailee Mallett, Ana Gabriella Betancourth, Anthony Betancourth and Zachary Theriault; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held 2 p.m. Sunday, December 1, 2013, from the Bethel Pentecostal Church with Rev. Roger Jewell, officiating. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Mrs. Theriault may do so though the Bethel Church Memorial Fund. Arrangements by the Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.
