ST. JOHN PLANTATION — Three vehicles were involved in a crash on Dec. 9 on Route 161 in St. John Plantation, resulting in the injury of one driver.

At approximately 2:10 p.m. on Monday, the Maine State Police responded to the accident and their investigation showed that Mistie Albert, 18, of St. Francis was traveling west in her 2001 Nissan car when she lost control on the slippery roadway and crossed over into the oncoming lane.
Albert first struck Kenneth Roy, 55, of Wallagrass who was operating a 2003 Ford truck. Albert then struck a second vehicle driven by Todd Levesque, 49, of Wallagrass. Levesque was operating a 2010 Western Star tractor trailer unit.
Albert sustained injuries and was transported by a family member to the hospital. All three drivers were wearing their seatbelts. Albert and Roy’s vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene. The crash was investigated by Trooper Dan Marquis.
State Police encourage the people to drive with caution and allow extra time for slow travel on the slippery winter roadways.
