Clare married Alan Edward Hitchcock on August 11, 1973, at St. Joseph’s church in Mars Hill. They lived their entire marriage on the Hitchcock family farm on Green Ridge in Caribou, where they celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in the summer of 2013.
