    CARIBOU, SACO, and WESTBROOK – Gerald T. Dube, 80, died peacefully January 23, 2014, surrounded by his family at The Maine Veteran’s Home,  Scarborough. He was born August 10, 1933, in Caribou, the son of the late Ted & Lillian Dube.
    On August 20, 1953, he was drafted into the U.S. Army where he served his country proudly until being honorably discharged on June 20, 1955. Mr. Dube married Virginia (Hartley) Dube on November 26, 1955, at Holy Rosary Church in Caribou. They were married 47 years and raised three children together before her passing in 2002. While living in Hartford, Connecticut, Gerald became a Printer’s Apprentice at Finley Brother’s Printing Company. Through the years he developed his trade and became a Master Printer of America. When living back in Caribou, Gerald became the first four color pressman in Aroostook County while working for Cecil Walton at Custom Printers. He retired from printing in 1998 while working at Form Print in Portland, Maine.
    Mr. Dube will be deeply missed by his family; sons, Jerry Dube and his wife, Nadine of Newington, CT, Dean Dube and his wife, Tracy, of Colchester, CT, and his daughter, Maureen Dube of Westbrook, ME; his grandchildren, Erica Harold and her husband, Paul, Alyson Dube, Craig Dube and Blake Dube. Gerald is also survived by five brothers and one sister; Harold Dube, Donald Dube and Stella Hodson, all of Caribou, Maynard Dube of Massachusetts and Richard (Dickie) Dube of Georgia; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four sisters, Rose Hanson, Theresa Gagnon, Viola Michaud and Anita Knapp.
    Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, Wednesday, January 29, 2014, from 12 noon until time of services which will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. with Fr.
