NORWALK, CT and CARIBOU – Stewart King Hamilton, 59, passed away unexpectedly on Feb 4, 2014. He was born Nov. 29, 1954, in Caribou, ME, the son of Clarence Edgar Hamilton and Captola Stewart Hamilton.
Stew was raised in Caribou and graduated from Caribou High School in 1973 and the University of Maine at Presque Isle in 1977. In 1980, Stewart graduated from the Respiratory Therapy Program at Norwalk Hospital in Connecticut. After receiving his RT certification, he worked in hospitals located in Wyoming, Utah, New Hampshire, and Connecticut.
Stewart is survived by his brother, Dr. Willard D. Hamilton and his wife, Christine, of Caribou and The Villages, FL; his three nephews, Dr. Todd M. Hamilton of Windham, Jon D. Hamilton and his wife, Kara of Caribou, Scott J. Hamilton and his fiancé, Isabella, of Cumberland Ctr.; his step-father, Clayton Harrington of Plymouth; great-niece, Brynne and great-nephew, Finn. He will also be missed by his extended family of friends in Norwalk and Bridgeport, CT. Stewart was predeceased by his father, Edgar, in 1955 and his mother, Captola, in 2009.
