Take It Outside Series
On March 22-23 the Take It Outside Series will host an overnight trip to Maccuanamac Camps on Spider Lake. While there, participants will go ice fishing, skiing, snowshoeing and hang out in the cozy cabin. The fee is $125, which includes a one-day ice fishing license, transportation, ice fishing gear, cross country skis, snowshoes, and dinner, breakfast and lunch. Pre-registration is required. A detailed itinerary will be provided to all who register for this event.
The series moves to the Caribou High School ski trails March 25 for a snowshoeing adventure, viewing some of the most beautiful trails in Caribou. The fee is $20, which includes transportation, snowshoe rentals and a hot dog roast. Pre-registration is required.
An overnight trip to Deboullie is planned for March 29 and 30. While there, participants will ski, snowshoe and hike around the beautiful area. Trips will be supported by snowmobile and a tote sled, making the approach less arduous. Participants will be required to carry a day pack which contains necessary items to keep your body hydrated and nourished. Program is restricted to participants in excellent shape who have had prior skiing experience. The fee is $60, which includes transportation, ski, snowshoes, trekking poles as well as dinner, breakfast and lunch. Pre-registration is required.
A cross country skiing trip to the Caribou Country Club ski trails is planned for April 1. These trails boast a wilderness experience right in our backyard. The fee is $20, which includes cross country ski equipment and a hot bowl of soup and sandwiches around a fire for lunch. Pre-registration is required.

Mother-son dance
The Caribou Parks and Recreation Department will host its annual Mother-Son Dance on Friday, May 9 from 7-9 p.m. at the Caribou Wellness Center gym. Admission is $5 per couple. Photos by Duane will be available for a fee. Refreshments and music will be provided.
Spring training
The spring training baseball program is for boys and girls ages 9-12 and will run from March 25 through April 17. This fundamentals instruction clinic meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-4:30 p.m.
Each session will deal with the mechanics and the breakdown of individual positions on a baseball team. Topics covered include proper warm-ups, stretching, pitching, hitting, infield/outfield play and situation instruction. Pre-registration is required.
