NEW SWEDEN — Cub Scout Pack No.186 met at the New Sweden School on March 10 to hold their Pinewood Derby race and Awards Night with family and friends.

A total of 13 pinewood cars were entered into the competition, and Cub Scout Master David Spooner commented that “the boys were very excited to see the hard work and dedication that they committed into their cars finally pay off with the first race.”
The top four finishers of the race were Lars Spooner, Rylan Masse, Keenan Masse and Nicholas Margeson, respectively.
After the awarding of trophies to the top three finishers and patches to every contestant, the Scouts were presented with the new achievement badges they’d earned over the last few months.
“Everyone had fun tonight, seeing the boys excitement and good sportsmanship makes it all worthwhile,” the Cub Scout Master said.
