I was all excited! I had the sign-up sheets made for the City-Wide Yard Sale, May 17-18. The signs were made. I got the ads out in the paper and I was all set! Then I got sick. And boy was I wiped out with one of the worst cases of bronchitis I’ve ever had. I was thankful that Pines Health Services got me in right away on Monday and things did not seem that bad. But by Wednesday evening, I could not breathe.
The good folks of Cary Medical Center took care of me that night until the wee hours of the morning and gave me some new tools to fight the fight. Sleep was hard to come by as I could not stop coughing long enough to fall off. I watched a lot of baseball and felt really bad about not being at the office to sign up people for the Yard Sale.
I am back in the office and ready for a three-week push to sign everyone up for the sale. Come on in! Come and get on the map!
Missing a week of work always means being put on the hot potato upon returning. The Yard Sale is just one of the hot spuds. The other is the Annual Recognition Dinner being held Thursday, May 8 at the Caribou Inn & Convention Center. Time is getting tight to nominate who we should recognize, so please contact us as soon as possible. We would like to announce the honorees on the invitations going out in a couple of weeks.
The dinner is going to be fabulous and the menu simply delicious. Mark your calendar for May 8 at 5:30 p.m. for a social hour and 6:30 for the dinner.
