On April 13-19, the Caribou Public Library will join forces with thousands of libraries across the country to celebrate National Library week and America’s libraries.
This year’s theme “Lives Change @ Your Library” will celebrate the powerful and positive impact libraries have on the daily lives of Americans, and how they have continued to change people’s lives.
As part of the celebration, library staff is inviting area residents to share their stories of how their local libraries have changed their lives (past and present). We ask that stories be submitted to the Caribou Public Library no later than Wednesday, April, 26.
The celebration also includes a display of local artist Marty Gallant’s watercolor paintings which will be available for viewing throughout the week. In addition, the library is inviting area residents who are not library users to stop by the library and sign up for a library card and experience the wide variety of services the library has to offer.
Current users are invited to stop by and fill out a suggestion form to share ideas on how the library can better serve the public. Both new users and existing users will be eligible to win a gift certificate from a local business.
