To the editor:
The Caribou High School Civil Rights Team is a student group focused on finding the common between people and dispelling bias within the school and community. We are actively working to point out the similarities that all people share, the human qualities and struggles that bind us all.
Our mission is to work to eliminate bias based on race, ancestry, religion, physical or mental disabilities, gender, or sexual orientation. We would like readers to join us in “finding the common” by discovering similarities amongst their friends, family, coworkers, and community members. By eliminating bias in Aroostook County, we can help nurture a welcoming and unbiased environment for all of our residents and potential new residents.
