The Caribou Community-based Outpatient Clinic staff dedicated the waiting area in honor of Clare R. Hitchcock, RN. Hitchcock was a retired VA registered nurse who died in January 2014. Clare worked at the Caribou CBOC for 18 years, and had battled with both lung and breast cancer throughout the last 20 years of her life.
Attending the dedication, from left, were: Dr. Rodolphe Camy, daughter Jennifer Grant (holding son Callan), daughter Allison Pollock, Mark Pollock (holding son True), granddaughter Libby Grant, son Brian Hitchcock, son Eric Hitchcock, Clare’s husband Alan Hitchcock, Ryan Lilly (director VA Maine Healthcare) and Gary Michaud, RN (nurse manager). Staff and family joined in the conference after the dedication for refreshments and to reminisce about their memories of Clare.
