CARIBOU – Keith R. Powell, 88, died peacefully on April 23, 2014, at Caribou. He was born in Caribou on July 11, 1925, the son of the late Robert and Luda (Goodwin) Powell.
He was a graduate of Caribou High School and attended college at the Aroostook School of Commerce for accounting. He served in the United States Navy Reserve from 1943 to 1946. He received the American Theater Ribbon, the Eamet Ribbon and the World War II Victory Medal. He was employed as a supply clerk with the 42nd Civil Engineers at Loring Air Force Base.
He is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
