CARIBOU – Dorothy P. Boeckermann, 94, died April 24, 2014, at Caribou. She was born in Caribou on October 30, 1919, the daughter of the late Edward and Lillian (Bubar) Doody Jr.
Dorothy was a 1937 graduate of Caribou High School and was employed by the Birds Eye Division of General Foods in Caribou for over 20 years. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church where she was a member of the Catholic Golden Age. She was a life member of the Lister Knowlton Post 9389 VFW and was also a member of the Henry B. Pratt Post 15 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Beverly Flannery of Henderson, NV; two sisters and brothers-in-law; Marion and Tom Gagnon of Scarborough and Willa and Francis Kirkpatrick of Caribou; a sister-in-law, Hilda Winter of Melrose, MA; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was predeceased by her first husband, Carroll Flannery in 1945. On September 3, 1966 she married Raymond Boeckermann at the Loring Air Force Base Chapel and he predeceased her May 29, 2001. She was also predeceased by her two sons, Merval Flannery in 1996 and Carroll Flannery in 2006, as well as a special daughter-in-law, Caroll’s wife Sharon in 2006.
Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, from 3 p.m. until time of services which will be held at 4 p.m. from the funeral home with Fr.
