CARIBOU, Maine — The Students of the Month for March at Caribou Middle School were recently named.
The sixth-grade teachers announced that they selected Aubrey Pelletier and Jacob Bolen as CMS Students of the month.
Aubrey Pelletier has been chosen by her teachers for her constant dedication to her academics. “She is very conscientious with her studies, and always pays close attention to detail,” her teachers said. “She is not afraid to share her work with peers and ask questions of her teachers, in order to improve her assignments.” They added that Pelletier works well in groups, taking the leadership role when necessary, and collaborating positively with others. For extracurricular activities, Pelletier is a member of the CMS chorus. “She is a hardworking, friendly, dependable student who is a pleasure to have in class,” her teachers described.
Jacob Bolen characterizes many qualities befitting of a good student. “Jacob is one of the hardest workers in class and his efforts have resulted in academic gains that have even surpassed his teachers’ expectations,” his teachers said. “Even when things get hard, he has a good attitude and works through. Jacob follows directions well, listens, is always eager to help, and participates with enthusiasm.” They added that Bolen is kind and courteous towards fellow peers and staff and is honest and trustworthy. Bolen also speaks adoringly of his family. “Congratulations Jacob on being selected Student of the Month,” his teachers said. “You’ve demonstrated that you deserve it. Continue to be a good model for others and set challenges for yourself as you continue to grow.”
The seventh-grade teachers have chosen Hailey Holmquist and Katie Tardif as their March Students of the Month. Hailey Holmquist is an excellent student who takes great pride in her work. She is an avid reader and can often be seen with a good book in her hands. “Hailey is an active participant in the CMS band and yearbook committee. She is always willing to lend a hand to someone in need or fill someone in on what they have missed,” her teachers said. “Hailey has a great sense of humor and shows strong leadership qualities in the activities she is involved in.”
Katie Tardif is a role model student at Caribou Middle School where she participates in chorus, yearbook committee, and cheerleading. “Katie is an excellent student and always has a kind word for everyone she encounters,” her teachers said. “Her school spirit is contagious and she is truly a pleasure to have in class every day”

The eighth-grade team has chosen Ciara Richards and Kyra Thibeault as their Students of the Month for March. Ciara Richards was chosen because of her willingness to help others, and her ability to set an example for all who attend CMS. “Ciara is a member of the cross-country running team, cross-country ski team, band, chorus, and show choir at Caribou Middle School,” her teachers described. “Outside of school, Ciara swims and takes piano lessons. She is always willing to help a fellow classmate, or teacher often without being asked.” They also commented that Richards is a wonderful role model to all students, and sets a great example regarding schoolwork, and the treatment of fellow classmates, schoolmates, teachers and adults.
Kyra Thibeault has been selected because of her positive attitude toward schoolwork, classes, teachers, and classmates. “Krya has a passion for singing and is a member of the CMS chorus; she also is participating in the CMS show choir and plans to tryout for the school tennis team this spring,” her teachers explained. “Kyra also enjoys dancing and participating in local pageants outside of school.” Teachers added that Thibeault is always willing to help out a fellow classmate or a teacher, often without even being asked. “Kyra is a great example for all at Caribou Middle School with her outstanding work ethic, and treatment of others, she is a true role model,” teachers added. “Congratul-ations to eighth-grade students, Kyra Thibeault and Ciara Richards for this recognition.”
