Many years have come and gone
Ups and downs I do recall
It seems so long, but then again
I remember well when I was ten
Times were hard but all was well
We worked and played ‘til nighttime fell
We were guided by the hand above
But there were two that gave us light
Mom and Dad
To the mountains we would go
With pail in hand, we loved it so
These memories come time and again
I remember well when I was ten
We grew up going our separate ways
Remembering all those growing days
We all would seem so happy then
I remember well when I was ten
The swimming hole was down the hill
We’d sing the song of Jack and Jill
We came back home and then we knelt
I remember well when I was ten
In spring and summer, winter, fall
It didn’t matter none at all
We were all together then
I remember well when I was ten
