BREWER, Maine — The Caribou varsity track and field teams registered third-place performances at a meet held Monday.
The Caribou girls tallied 104 points. The top performers included freshman Simone Michaud, second in the 400-meter dash in 1:04.24; third in the 200 in 28.79 seconds; and fourth in the 100 in 13.87 seconds; Alissa Irving, first in the 1,600 race walk in 8:29.57; Kate Finnemore, second in the racewalk in 9:43.95; Maura Freme, third in the racewalk in 10:19.94; Madeline Gudde, fourth in the 800 in 2:42.6; Sarah Doak, third in the 1,600 in 5:42.94; Chelsea Haney, third in the 3,200 in 14:06.39; Robyn Larrabee, fourth in 14:13.33; Eileen Patton, fourth in the 300 hurdles in 53.37 seconds; Kaitlyn Ring, fourth in the long jump with a mark of 13 feet, 4 inches; and Sarah Draper, third in the discus with a mark of 83 feet, 3 inches.
The 4×400 relay team of Doak, Michaud, Gudde and Patton was second in 4:50.43.
In the boys’ competition, Caribou picked up 91 points. Leading the way were Emilio Garcia, first in the 110 hurdles in 17.06 seconds and second in the 300 hurdles in 45.92 seconds; Mitchell St. Peter, first in the 1,600 racewalk in 7:57.12; Strid, third in the racewalk in 8:30.42; Dominic Judd, fourth in 110 hurdles in 18.51 seconds and third in the 300 hurdles in 46.53 seconds; Kameron Manter, fourth in the 100 in 11.96 seconds and fourth in the 400 in 57.06 seconds; and Keith Draper, second in the javelin with a mark of 122 feet, 2 inches.
Manter, Draper, Judd and Alex Losieniecki made up the 4×400 relay team that was second in 3:50.6.
The Aroostook League championships will take place in Caribou Friday afternoon.
