LIMESTONE, Maine — Main Street in downtown Limestone, as well as the surrounding area, was without power for much of Thursday night due to a fallen tree limb and a broken device at the local substation.
Bob Potts, an official with Emera Maine Public Service, explained on Monday morning that the outage occurred around 6:11 p.m. on May 30. Crews were dispatched to the outage site and found a broken line device at the Pond Substation and, upon further investigation, the crews located a tree limb down on a line.
Power was restored at about 1:10 a.m. for 700 customers, and the remaining 130 customers had their power restored around 1:30 a.m.
