    AR-SteveMichaudObitCARIBOU – Steven P. Michaud, died May 27, 2014, at his Caribou residence. He was born in Caribou, May 5, 1954, the son of Maynard and Pam (Jacques) Michaud.
    Steve was a 1972 graduate of Caribou High School and served with the US Navy. He began his career with the Caribou Police Department, where he served as the DARE officer for a number of years. He then taught criminal justice classes at Caribou High School, and more recently was employed by the Maine Military Authority at Loring. Steve was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish, hunt and spend time with his family at Cross Lake. Steve always mentioned that his greatest accomplishment in life was loving his family. He married Paula (Barclay) Michaud August 16, 1986.
    Surviving in addition to his wife and his father both of Caribou are his son, Travis Michaud, two daughters, Trisha Stubbs and Katie Scott and her husband, Patrick all of Caribou, and Russell Stubbs of Caribou. A sister, Jean Gallagher and her husband, Scott of New London, New Hampshire. Four grandchildren, Hunter, Grant and Reagen Stubbs and Arizona Scott. Many nieces, nephews and cousins. Steven was predeceased by his mother.
    Friends visited with the family 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 30, at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou. A mass of Christian Burial was celebrated 11 a.m., Saturday, May 31, 2014, from the Parish of the Precious Blood, Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment was in the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery.
