Fishing derby for kids
The 11th annual Children’s Fishing Derby at the Aroostook National Wildlife Refuge will be held Saturday, June 14 at the ANWR, located at 97 Refuge Road in Limestone.
The derby is free, with registration beginning at 8 a.m. and the derby getting under way at 9 a.m. Awards will be presented at 12:30 p.m. Call 325-4634 or email president@friendsofaroostooknwr.org for more information.
Golf tourney planned
The seventh annual Caribou Friends For Scouts Golf Tournament will take place Saturday, June 21 at Caribou Country Club.
Registration is from 7-8 a.m. and the fee is $100 per four-person team. The tournament is a scramble, with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Pre-register by calling Caribou Country Club at 493-3933.
The rain date is Sunday, June 22.
