Summer hours

    The Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center’s summer hours are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m.-6 p.m. The facility is closed Saturdays and Sundays.

Theme park tickets

    The Caribou Parks and Recreation Department is selling tickets to the following theme parks for the summer season at a discounted rate: Funtown/Splashtown, WaterCountry, Aquaboggan and Cranmore Mountain Resort. Call 493-4224 for more information.

TIOS August and September schedule

    The Take It Outside Series Adult program has the August and September schedule ready. The following is a list of the upcoming trips being offered for adults ages 18 and over: Aug. 23-24, Allagash Wilderness Waterway; Aug. 26, Edmundston Botanical Gardens; Aug. 28, Kings Landing; Sept. 2, Grand Fall Gorge and River Boat Lunch on St. John River; Sept. 5, MIZPAH in Grand Isle; Sept. 6, Open Sky Adventures trip; Sept. 9, Ashland Lumberman’s Museum/Porter Seed Farm in Masardis; Sept. 12-14, Explore Trains, Churchill Dam Museum and canoe Chase Rapids in the Allagash Wilderness Waterway; Sept. 16, First Wind in Mars Hill tour and Hentosh Bronze tour; Sept. 18, Moose and Salmon; Sept 23., Old and New; Sept. 25, Red River Camps, Deboullie.

Soccer program

    Registrations are being accepted for the recreation department’s soccer program, which gets underway this month.
The grades 1-2 program, which runs from Aug. 26-Sept. 18, is now full, but the grades 3-6 program, which begins the week of Aug. 18, still has openings. Pre-registration is required and must be done in person at the recreation office.
A players’ meeting will be held Wednesday, Aug. 13 at 6 p.m. at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center.
