CARIBOU — A Caribou juvenile remains in custody after a knife point robbery on Aug. 31.
At approximately 10:20 p.m., the Caribou Police Department received a call from a Caribou taxi driver reporting that he had just been robbed at knife point by an unknown male dressed in dark clothing on Hammond Street. After taking an undisclosed amount of cash and checks, the male fled from the area.
Caribou Police Officers Chad Cochran and Corey Saucier searched for the male through most of their shift, when they received information that the 17-year-old male was at a nearby residence on Prospect Street. He was apprehended without incident and transported to the Aroostook County jail.
He is being charged with class A robbery.
Assisting Officers Cochran and Saucier were Officer Ouellette of the Caribou Police Department as well as Officer Dale Keegan of the Fort Fairfield Police Department.
