LIMESTONE — The new public relations assistant at the Maine School of Science and Mathematics a local graduate, Ben Pinette.
Pinette expressed that he is very impressed with the students at the residential high school in Limestone and thinks MSSM is a great place to work.
“I didn’t know a lot about MSSM before I came here, but I’ve learned so much in the last three weeks I’ve been here,” he said.
For others in the area who are similarly unfamiliar with the top-ranked math and science school, Pinette encourages checking out the school’s website, their social media pages on Facebook and Twitter or calling their admissions office.
Pinette graduated from the University of Maine at Presque Isle this past May after studying journalism and communications, and is also Caribou High School alumni with the Class of 2009.
He is a past three-year radio station manager at the UMPI and worked at the college newspaper.
“I’ve basically been writing for my whole life it seems,” he said with a smile. “It’s just in my blood, I guess.”
