The Caribou Public Library will sponsor programs for pre-school children beginning in October.
“Mother Goose Time” will begin on Tuesday, Oct. 21 from 10 to 10:30 a.m. This program is for babies from birth to 18 months old. It is a lap-sit program and will require the parent’s full attention, and please no siblings.
“Toddler Time” is for children ages 18-36 months and will be held on Saturday mornings from 10 to 10:30 a.m. starting on Oct. 18. One parent per child is required to provide the child with the one-on-one attention necessary for the program. “Toddler Time” will be offered in three sessions with each session limited to 15 toddlers.
“Story Time” is for children 3-5 years of age and will meet from 10 to 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday mornings beginning on Oct. 15. Crafts will be offered at this program.
“These programs are to introduce young children to books, nursery rhymes, finger plays and songs appropriate to the child’s stage of development,” said children’s librarian Jean Shaw. “Toddler Time” and “Story Time” will begin with a Teddy Bear’s Picnic. Please bring your own Teddy Bear and come enjoy the fun!”
