LIMESTONE, Maine — The town of Limestone has recently made their official announcement of two major personnel changes within the town including the town manager and Recreation Deptartment director positions.

Current Town Manager Donna Bernier announced that she would be retiring within the next few months, which prompted the board of selectpeople to begin the process of hiring a new municipal leader.
After sifting through a number of applications for town manager, the board has decided to hire Greg Moyer, who is scheduled to begin at his new position on Oct. 4, 2014.
Moyer is originally from Pennsylvania, but currently resides in Oklahoma. As of Sept. 22, Moyer was acting as the interim city manager in Bethel, Alaska, a position he was assigned to hold for up to 90 days.
Bernier explained that Moyer is currently on his way back to Oklahoma, where he will stop before making his way to Limestone.
Moyer first ventured to Alaska with the military in 1978. He spent about three decades in Anchorage, working a variety of positions for the city government and for the assembly. He’s raised four adult children and has a wife currently living in Tulsa.
As for the recreation director position, the board of selectpeople decided to hire locally, as William Tucker, of Limestone, will begin at his new position starting Monday, Sept. 29, 2014.
