CARIBOU – Gerald C. Jalbert, 79, died October 5, 2014, at Caribou. He was born in Caribou November 8, 1934, the son of the late Narcisse and Odille (Theriault) Jalbert.         Mr. Jalbert served with the U.S. Marine Corps during Korea and was an active life member of the Lister Knowlton Post 9389 VFW. He was employed by civil service at Loring Air Force Base with the Transportation Management Office for over 36 years. 
    Mr. Jalbert was predeceased by his wife Deloris (Deveau) Jalbert in 1994, a daughter Sarah Weddle and a grandson Christopher.
    He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Ed and Margaret Jalbert of Shawnee ,Kansas, and James and Kimberly Jalbert of Caribou. Two brothers: Vernon Jalbert of Caribou and Herman Jalbert of South Portland. Six sisters: Linda Cyr and Lillian Bonsaint, both of Caribou, Earlene Kennedy of Mass-achusetts, Theresa Cole of Florida, Hilda Lewis of Connecticut, and Gertrude Desmond of Virginia. Three grandchildren: Lexie Honto, Hailie and Brady Jalbert.  A special friend, Dorothy Lavaway of Presque Isle. Many nieces and nephews. 
    Memorial services were held 11 a.m. Friday, October 10, 2014 from the Chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou. Following the services, all were invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at the VFW. www.mocklerfuneral-home.com
