LIMESTONE – Rhea Gendreau, 95, wife of the late Ned Gendreau died November 14, 2014 at Bangor. She was born in Grand Isle, March 13, 1919, the daughter of the late Eddie and Alice (Clavette) Gendreau.
Mrs. Gendreau was a longtime faithful member of St. Louis Catholic Church and was a lifelong member of the Ladies of St. Anne.
She is survived by her children, Velma Brown of Warren, NH, Jeanine O’Bar and husband, George, and Lorraine Gendreau, all of Limestone, Jos. L. C. “Clarence” Gendreau and wife, Sin Cha of Clarksville, TN, Reynold Gendreau and his wife, Cher, of Reading, PA, Judy Bell and her husband, James, Annette Tardy and husband, Larry, and Ellen S. Gendreau and life partner, Preston “Prep” Dumond, all of Limestone; two sisters, Althena Lathem and Mary Ann Chasse and husband, Gerald, all of Van Buren; 18 grandchildren; several great-grand-children; great-great-grand-children; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Gendreau was predeceased by her husband, Ned; a son, Vernon; and siblings, Orena Gagnon, Gladys Laplante, Germaine St. Amand, Conrad, Percy, Hector, Lucienne, Ernestine and Walter Gendreau.
Friends called at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2014. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Parish of the Precious Blood St. Louis Catholic Church, Limestone. Interment will be in the St. Louis Cemetery. Following the service, all are invited to a continued time of fellowship and refreshments at the parish hall.
