The Maine Beef Producers Association and University of Maine Cooperative Extension are sponsoring a second free low-stress cattle-handling demonstration in December.
Curt Pate, National Cattlemen’s Beef Association stockman instructor, will conduct the live demonstrations. The added session will be 2-4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, at Rocking S Ranch, 2 Happy Trails, Fort Fairfield. The originally scheduled demonstration will be 2-4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at East Ridge Stable, 405 East Ridge Road, Charleston.
The demonstrations are preludes to the 25th annual Beef Conference, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at Ramada Inn, 357 Odlin Road, Bangor.Pre-registration for the handling demonstrations is required.
