Members of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 15 held a very successful fundraiser Dec. 6 at the Post home; their luncheon raised $415 for the Hope and Justice Project. A raffle raised $1,019 for care packages to benefit homeless veterans — one of the sleighs full of toys was won by the Homeless Shelter in Presque Isle. Publicity Chair of the Auxiliary Unit Shelley O’Rourke said that it was a very successful and heartwarming fundraiser for all involved.
