PORTLAND – Roberta C. (Canney) Gibbons, 75, of Portland, ME, died Feb. 1, 2015 at Mercy Hospital, Portland.
She was born in Lynn, MA, and had been a resident of Portland for the past 17 years, formerly of Van Buren, ME.
Roberta was a very active member of AA, where she loved to help people. She also enjoyed the ocean.
She is survived by her daughters, Dawn Brand of Derry, NH, Kristine Gibbons of Methuen, MA, and Wendy and her husband Brett LaBranche of Londonderry, NH; son, Michael Gibbons of Portland, ME; brother, Paul Canney of Ohio; sisters, Frannie Rhine of Tennessee, and Debbi Donegan of Texas; eight grandchildren; three great-grand children; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 14th from 1-3 PM, followed by a memorial service at 3 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem NH.
