Caribou – Brenda J. Lewis, 68, loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister, was called home February 19, 2015, at Van Buren, following a long illness. She was born in Washburn, December 2, 1946, the daughter of Everett and Margaret (Carter) Barker.
Mrs. Lewis was a member of the Lidstone Methodist Church in Washburn. She married Earl Lewis Jr. July 11, 1966.
Surviving in addition to her husband Earl of Caribou and her mother Margaret of Washburn, are her son, Guy Lewis of Caribou, her daughters, Sherri Lewis and Anne Hewitt and her husband Travis all of Caribou; one brother, Alex Barker of Washburn; two sisters, Felicia Rossignol of Washburn and Eva Barker of Old Town; three granddaughters, Susie Lewis, and Lorriah and Brittany Hewitt; several nieces and nephews.
Friends called at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, 6-8:00 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services were held 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2015 from the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Troy Heald, officiating. Interment will be in the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery.
