CARIBOU – Marc P. “Mack” Lachance, 91, husband of the late Janet E. (Massey) Lachance, passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 10, 2015, at his Caribou residence. He was born July 7, 1923, in St. Leonard, New Brunswick, the son of Paul and Idella (Saucier) Lachance.
He attended St. Leonard schools and had been employed at New England Starch and later Colby Starch, Caribou, for many years. He also worked for Northern Sales and Service in Caribou for a number of years and operated his own business, M & J Repair Service, Caribou.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Lachance was predeceased by his wife, Janet in 2013; and one son, Reggie Lachance. He is survived by one brother, Samuel Lachance Sr. and his wife, Rita; one sister, Ora St. Peter, all of Caribou; two grand-children; several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Marc’s wishes, there will be no formal services. Spring interment will take place at the New Holy Rosary Cemetery, Caribou. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in memory of Mr. Lachance to the charity or organization of one’s choice. Arrangements are in the care of the Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.
