Red Cross personnel recently made a visit to the Caribou VFW post for a special presentation on home fire prevention, with more than 40 attending. Leading the presentation are, from left, Lori Knight-Phair, Red Cross Advisory Board member and coordinator/responder with the Disaster Action Team, and Bill Thomas, Disaster Action Team responder and Emergency Response Vehicle Team leader. Thomas emphasized that smoke detectors save lives, and both shared fire prevention information.
