Maine is a great place to visit if you like or would like to try any outdoor activities. It is also a beautiful place to go sightseeing. A few outdoor sports Maine can offer are kayaking, hiking, and fishing. These sports are a good way to have fun during the warmer months. Unfortunately you can’t do these in the winter time, but luckily there’s places to go then. Places like Caribou rec provide skiing lessons, and there is also places to go snow tubing for example, Windham.

You can also see a lot of wildlife near the wildlife refuges. Animals sighted most commonly include bears, deer, rabbits, and moose. There are also beautiful birds that can be spotted regularly. These refuges are most located in northern Maine, and have many trails to walk through and enjoy nature. Camping is also a great activity to do with your family, or even by yourself. There are many camping grounds like Aroostook State Park, and Madawaska Lake. On these trips you can enjoy the sports we talked about above, like kayaking, or canoeing.
In southern Maine you will see a lot of what we are known for, lobster, and lighthouses! There are beautiful lighthouses to be spotted by Maine’s rocky beaches. It is a very lovely scenery to see. There are also many restaurants with great food to dine at during a day out. Whale watching is another great reason to visit, you can see many other amazing animals too.
