To the editor:
We, the Caribou 2015 Project Graduation Committee, parents and students have held such fundraisers as events on Thursdays on Sweden Street, car washes, a lobster basket raffle, a Rick Charette concert, and a Marko the Magician show in order to help the costs of this year’s graduating class’ Project Graduation to be held in June.
We are proud to announce that on Saturday, April 11, Matt Roberts, charismatic comedian/magician, will be performing at the Caribou Performing Arts Center. Matt has performed on FOX, PBS, NBC’s Today Show and in a series of major television commercials for Walmart, WB Mason and more. He has appeared alongside Jim Henson’s Muppets and live at Boston’s Symphony Hall five times.
Matt was recently named “Great Illusionist” by the Providence Performing Arts Center and Broadway.com. He was also honored by his peers with first-place and People’s Choice Award at Abbott’s 75th Magic Get Together which is a legendary gathering of magicians from around the world, where he performed alongside headliners from Hollywood and Las Vegas. He has been a two-time Emmy nominee.
During this dynamic, family-friendly performance, the audience of all ages will not only witness astonishing original illusions, hilarious clean comedy, skillful sleight-of-hand and an exciting twist on Houdini’s impressive straitjacket escape, but will also become part of the show as spectators are brought on stage to have their minds read, take part in making objects disappear and to assist in a jaw-dropping levitation that has to be seen to be believed.
Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience Matt’s unique brand of charismatic comedy magic and to support the efforts of Caribou 2015 Project Graduation in this rare local appearance before he disappears!
Matt will be performing at the Caribou Performing Arts Center on Saturday, April 11 at 7 pm. Tickets are $10 and are available at the Caribou and Presque Isle Aroostook Savings and Loan branches, Caribou Wellness Center and Caribou One Stop. Tickets will be available at the door for $15.
So, come on out for an astonishing, smart, clean family night full of laughter and magic!
