For those who are wondering or concerned with medical marijuana being grown and harvested in Aroostook County, Marrietta D’Agostino, program director for the Department of Health and Human Services medical use of marijuana program, will be the guest speaker at a meeting hosted by The Horn and Hy-Grow Organics.

“This is an informational meeting pertaining to the laws governing the use and cultivation  of marijuana in our state,” explained Bill McCluskey, organizer of the event. “It is not promoting the use and cultivation of marijuana. It is an open forum for anyone whether a patient, grower or concerned citizen to get information on the law from the head of the department that makes all decisions concerning the administration of the law.”
D’Agostino will discuss and inform residents regarding the medical marijuana field during her presentation on Thursday, April 23, from 12-3 p.m. at The Horn restaurant at 385 North Road in Houlton. There is no charge for the meeting and a lunch may be purchased prior to the discussion from 11 a.m. to noon.
