Pitch, Hit and Run
The Caribou Parks and Recreation Department will host the annual Pitch, Hit and Run Competition Saturday, May 9 at the Teague Park baseball field. The competition, for ages 7-14, will give participants the opportunity to see how accurate they can pitch, how far they can hit and how fast they can run.
Age division is determined as of July 17, 2015. There are no fees, but pre-registration is required. For more information, call 493-4224.
ATV safety course
An ATV safety course will be offered to those ages 10 and older Saturday, April 18 at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center. The fee is $5 and pre-registration is required. Call 493-4224 for more information.
MRPA Future Stars track and field program
The track and field program once known as Hershey Track and Field will begin April 27 for youth ages 7-15. Ages 7-9 meet Mondays and Wednesdays and ages 10-15 meet Tuesdays and Thursdays. All sessions run from 3-5 p.m. Registration is $18 and includes a T-shirt. Pre-registration is required.
Men’s 30-and-over basketball
Men’s 30-and-over basketball is underway and meets Sundays from 10 a.m.-noon and Tuesdays from 7-9 p.m. through April 28. The halfcourt program is designed for gentlemen 30 years of age and over and meets at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center gym. On Sundays, there is a $3 per player fee.
Recreation center hours
The Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center hours are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m.-9 p.m. and noon-4 p.m. on Saturday. The facility is closed Sundays.
Mother-Son Dance
The annual Mother-Son Dance will be held Friday, May 8 from 7-9 p.m. at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center. Admission is $5 per couple and photos will be taken at the event for an additional charge.
